Police seeking suspect, victim in reported stabbing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are looking for both the suspect and the victim in a reported stabbing in southeastern Colorado Springs Wednesday afternoon.

Police said around 3 p.m., they received a report of a possible stabbing in the 2700-block of Arlington Drive, which is in the area of South Circle Drive and Highway 24. The caller told police he had gotten a text from one of his employees saying she had been stabbed.

When officers arrived at the scene, they talked to witnesses, who told police the victim was stabbed inside a vehicle. The suspect and victim then went inside an apartment, came back out wearing different clothing, and left in a red two-door sedan, according to witnesses.

Witnesses also told police the pair had a 4-year-old child with them when they left.

Officers went to the apartment and found blood on the doorway and inside, but did not find anyone in the apartment.

Police identified the suspect as Dionna Norris, 26. A warrant has been issued for Norris for second-degree assault, third-degree assault, and harassment.

Police identified the victim as Shay Manis, 37.

Police have not located Norris, Manis, or the child. If you have information on their whereabouts, you’re asked to call police at 719-444-7000, or call 911.
