Southeastern Colorado Springs Dollar Tree robbed

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A southeastern Colorado Springs Dollar Tree was robbed Thursday night, according to police.

Police said the robbery happened around 9 p.m. at the store at 2780 South Academy Boulevard, near the intersection with Hancock Expressway. A man armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money from employees. He got an undisclosed amount of cash and ran from the store headed south.

Police said no shots were fired, and no one was injured in the robbery.
