Two men enter Colorado Springs home, assault resident

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Two men entered a Colorado Springs home and assaulted a resident Monday night, according to police.

Police said the incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 400-block of Redwood Drive, which is in the area of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Nevada Avenue. A resident called police and told them two people were running away from his home, and his roommate and been shot.

When police arrived, they learned two unknown men had entered the home and gotten into a fight with the victim. During the fight, the victim sustained a non-life-threatening wound to his arm. Police could not confirm what caused the wound.

Police said one suspect was described as a white man in his early 50s with a thin build and brown/grey hair. The second suspect was unidentifiable.
