Three accused of shoplifting from Colorado Springs Kmart

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Three people were arrested on multiple charges after they were caught shoplifting at a Colorado Springs Kmart Sunday evening, according to police.

Police said they were called to the Kmart in the 3000-block of North Nevada Avenue to investigate a shoplifting around 7 p.m. Sunday. They later discovered the shoplifting suspect had a felony warrant for dangerous drugs.

While investigating this incident, police saw two other people shoplifting on the surveillance cameras. Officers investigated and learned each had several outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. Police said they also each had a small amount of suspected meth. Police also learned that one of the suspects was a criminal street gang member, and had items that could combat security devices applied to high-value merchandise.

Police also found several stolen IDs and credit cards in the suspects’ possession.

The three suspects were identified as Nicholas Porrino, 27, Richard Bolik, 45, and Ashlee Bolik, 19, all of Colorado Springs.
