Man robs Colorado Springs Great Clips

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A southeastern Colorado Springs Great Clips was robbed Wednesday night, according to police.

Police said the robbery happened around 8:45 p.m. at the hair salon on South Academy Boulevard, near the intersection with Astrozon Boulevard. A man entered the business alone, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money from the two employees, according to police. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money and left the area on a bicycle headed northbound.

Police said no shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 40s. He is about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slim build and ear-length dreadlocks. Police said he was wearing a black and red long-sleeved shirt with dark jeans and a gray knit cap.
