Suspicious bag found near city building deemed safe

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A suspicious bag found in front of the Colorado Springs City Administration Building Monday has been deemed safe.

Police said around noon Monday, a citizen reported the suspicious bag in front of the building at 30 South Nevada Avenue. The Regional Explosives Unit responded and determined the bag was abandoned property, and was not dangerous.

The intersection of Colorado Avenue and Nevada Avenue was closed for about an hour for the investigation.
