Deputies seeking man accused of cashing 13 forged checks

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in a recent forgery case.

Deputies said in late January, someone in South King County, Washington, mailed a check to a relative in El Paso County. The check did not arrive, and deputies said 13 checks totaling $1,846.43 were cashed from the victim’s bank account.

Two of the forged checks were cashed at the Loaf ‘n Jug at 6695 Galley Road on January 6 and January 7. The suspect was captured on surveillance video both times. Images from that video are above.
