Two arrested in southeastern Colorado Springs burglary

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Two people were arrested after a burglary in southeastern Colorado Springs Sunday morning.

Police said around 5:50 a.m., they were called to investigate a burglary alarm at a business in the 2800-block of National Place. As one of the officers was getting information from the business’ security guard, he noticed one of the door handles was rotated from a vertical to a horizontal position.

Police set up containment and entered the business. They found a man lying under a tractor in an attempt to avoid arrest. Police also found a black pellet gun within reaching distance of the suspect.

Police investigated and learned that another man had also broken into the building, but had left before police arrived. He was arrested later in the day.

Police said the two suspects, Joshua Lang and Nicholas Wells, were both jailed on burglary charges.
