Man arrested in connection to Pueblo West Gun Store burglary

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 10, 2015) — Authorities have arrested a suspect accused of stealing multiple firearms from a Pueblo gun store.

On Friday, Pueblo County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a man in connection to the Pueblo West Gun Store burglary.

On Wednesday, April 1, Pueblo County authorities were called to Pueblo West Gun Store after receiving a report of a vehicle crashing into the building.

When deputies arrived, investigators found an unoccupied GMC Yukon.

During their investigation, deputies discovered that three male suspects entered the store through the hole that was made in the crash and made their way out of the store in less than one minute.

The suspects made off with approximately 12 handguns with a value of $7,500.

Officials say some of the firearms that were stolen during the burglary have been recovered and are being processed.

Pueblo County Sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are in process.

UPDATE (August 16, 2015): Charges against the suspect were dismissed in Pueblo County District Court August 11.
