A Pueblo family’s life changed in an instant Friday night.

Six-year-old Alexis Case lost her life after a car crashed into their home.

A GoFundMe page reads, “our precious angel was taken to be with the Lord.”

It goes on to say, “If you can find it in your heart to help this grief stricken family it would certainly help lighten their burden during this difficult time.”

Since the page’s creation, more than $5,000 has been raised.

FOX21 spoke with family members who declined to go on camera, but told us the girl’s parents are very appreciative and grateful for the support from the community.

According to police, the girl’s uncle, 34-year-old Daniel Case, drove into the home after an argument with the girl’s father.

Police tell FOX21 Daniel Case sped through the intersection of Lancaster and Starlight, driving his vehicle through the front door of the home, striking the young girl. She was pronounced dead at Parkview Medical Center.

Case is booked at the Pueblo County Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular homicide.

In addition to the GoFundMe page, a benefit dinner will be held Saturday, March 28. It’ll be in the gymnasium at St. Leander Church from 3:30 to 8 p.m.

There will also be a silent auction, with all money raised to go toward funeral expenses.
