November was fast out of the gate with warm weather every day for the first ten days of the month. Colorado Springs even hit the 70s twice in that period. After that, the city didn’t hit the 50s for eight days with high temperatures on a couple of those days only in the single digits. Then we finished the month with four straight days in the 60s. The bottom line was a monthly mean temperature almost two degrees below normal. In Pueblo, the story was very similar. That -9° reading on the 13th helped push the average temperature for the month to 2.4° below the norm despite hitting the 70s seven times during the month.

The snow amounts were healthy…over seven inches in Colorado Springs and almost ten inches in Pueblo. Pueblo had snow on seven days and Colorado Springs had to deal with the white stuff on 11 days. The year to date precipitation is above average in Colorado Springs. Pueblo has one month to make up a .6 of an inch deficit before the end of the year.

The National Weather Service 30 Day Outlook has us receiving about average precipitation for December. Chances are the temperatures will run above normal.
