Forest Service approves Vail development plan

The U.S. Forest Service has cleared the Vail ski area to begin construction of ziplines, a mountain coaster and more trails next spring.

The Forest Service says it had no final objections to the ski area’s plan for expanded summer recreation.

The agency’s decision was issued Monday after more than two years of environmental review of the proposed $25 million summer recreational plan.

According to the Denver Post, the Forest Service is embracing plans to introduce more people to public lands in already developed areas.
