Suspicious device brought to Colorado Springs police HQ

Streets closed around the POC Mike Byrum - FOX21 News

The Colorado Springs Police Department investigated a suspicious device that was brought to its headquarters by a citizen late Monday morning.

Police said the item was identified as a smoke grenade someone found when they were cleaning out his or her garage. It was brought to the POC (Police Operations Center) at 705 South Nevada Avenue by a resident.

Surrounding roads were briefly closed during the investigation as a safety precaution.
