Traffic Alert: Road closures and delays for the week ahead

Motorists, be aware.

The following is a list fo the highway projects from the Colorado Department of Transportation planned for this week across Southern Colorado.

Officials said all work is dependent upon the weather.


I 25 Northbound/Southbound From Raton Pass North
(Milemarker 1-7) (through May 2014)

7:00 AM-6:00 PM TU-FR
 Single lane closures for paving operations as weather permits. Delays possible.

I 25 Northbound/Southbound Business Route/US 87/US 87 over Sull Creek North of Walsenburg
(Milemarker 52) (through September 2014)

7:00 AM-5:00 PM TU-FR
 Intermittent traffic stops throughout the day for detour construction in preparation for bridge replacement over Sull Creek. 10 minute stops. Project hotline: 719-339-2390.

I 25 Northbound/Southbound Exit Ramps to South Tejon Street
(Milemarker 140) (through May 2014)

7:00 AM-7:00 PM TU-FR
 Traffic lane reductions on Tejon St near the I-25 ramps for gas line extension by the City of Colorado Springs. Delays possible.

I 25 Northbound From Woodmen Road to Monument
(Milemarker 149-161) (through August 2014)

8:00 PM-5:30 AM TU-TH, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM TU-FR
 Nighttime: Single lane closures in both directions from Monument to Interquest Pkwy for road construction and double lane closures in both directions at North Gate for expansion joint replacement. Daytime: Single lane closures as needed to allow equipment and workers to enter and exit the work zone between Monument and North Gate. Delays possible. Project hotline: 719-247-8339.

CO 120 Eastbound/Westbound Over the Arkansas River east of Florence
(Milemarker 3.6) (through May 2014)

7:00 AM-5:00 PM TU-FR
 There will be One Lane Alternating Traffic. for bridge construction. Delays possible.
