Drunken man breaks into Colorado Springs home

Colorado Springs police arrested an intoxicated man accused of breaking into a home early Monday morning.

He was identified as Patrick Yakir. He was taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on the charge of 1st Degree Criminal Trespass.

Officers were called to a home in the 2200 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway at about 2:30 a.m., on the report of a man who had broken into a home. That’s near the area of Austin Bluffs and North Academy Boulevard.

Yakir was quickly identified as the suspect.

Police said he tried to enter at least two other homes. He was only successful in breaking into one home. The victim was asleep when Yakir broke in.
