Masked men rob north Colorado Springs bank

Colorado Springs police have now surrounded a bank on the north side of town after at least two masked men reportedly robbed it.

It happened at the TCF Bank in the 4300 block of North Academy Boulevard, near Austin Bluffs Parkway. Police said the first robbery call came in at 10:36 a.m.

A witness who was in the drive-thru of the bank told police that he saw three masked men jump over the counter during the robbery. He said the tellers were screaming.

The suspects remain on the run and police said they may responsible for other robberies.

A suspect vehicle, a 1985 Oldsmobile 98 was found nearby in the 4300 block of Morning Sun Avenue. That vehicle, according to police, was reported stolen Sunday night. No one was found in the vehicle.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
