Police increase presence at CU-CSU game

Police increased their presence at the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown between Colorado and Colorado State.

Denver Police Chief Robert White said a large contingent of uniformed and plain-clothes city officers, as well as officers from both universities’ police departments, were assigned to the game, which was played Sunday in Denver.

He had warned that Denver police would focus on curbing alcohol consumption and would share violators’ names with their respective schools.

Security also enforced a policy limiting the types and sizes of bags allowed in the stadium. Spectators were allowed one clear bag with maximum measurements of 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches or a one-gallon plastic freezer bag, and a small personal item bag about the size of a hand.
