Officials say a hospitalized woman is not the woman who was reported missing after a deadly mudslide and flood in the Colorado town of Manitou Springs.

Officials said earlier they were checking to see if 49-year-old Laura Hunter at Penrose Hospital in nearby Colorado Springs was the woman witnesses reported being swept away.

Manitou Springs Fire Chief Keith Buckmiller revealed Monday that Hunter was rescued five blocks from the spot where the missing woman was last seen.

The mudslide and flash flood struck Friday after heavy rain in an area burned by wildfire last year.

Officials say 53-year-old John Collins of Teller County was killed by the mudslide.
