14-year-old escapes possible attempted kidnapping in Pueblo

A 14-year-old jogger in Pueblo was able to escape a possible attempted kidnapping Monday evening, according to police. 

Now, authorities are searching for the men who were involved.

It was Monday evening at about 7:30 when police said a 14-year-old girl was jogging near 30th Street and Colfax Avenue. That’s when she noticed a white 1990s model four-door car with four men inside following her, police said. The car was described as possibly being a Toyota Corolla.

As the car approached the girl, police said a Hispanic man got out of the back right door and started chasing her. Fortunately, the girl was able to outrun the man. She hid behind Morton Elementary School until the men left going east on 29th Street,

The man who was accused of chasing the girl was described as being in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing all grey clothing and a grey baseball cap with red writing or embroidery.

According to the victim, the car had black scuff marks on the right side of the vehicle.
