Two people are in the hospital with “significant injuries” after a car drove off the interstate Tuesday afternoon.

According to Colorado Springs Police officers, a male and female were in the car, which witnesses said was weaving in and out of traffic on northbound I-25 near Bijou Street when the driver lost control and hit a barrier, falling over the interstate onto the ground below.

Both were thrown from the car and were taken to the hospital, but officers said their injuries are not life-threatening.
